A: A credit score is not required because a loan is not necessary for the land purchase. As long as payments are made, you will be granted ownership or legal possession of the land. Failure to make payments will result in the risk of forfeiture of the land.
Q: Is it necessary to travel to Yucatán for the purchase?
A: No, the entire process can be completed online.
Q: Do I need to be a Mexican citizen to buy?
A: Anyone is welcome to buy. For property ownership transfer however, Mexican citizenship or valid Mexican documentation for Mexicans residing in other countries is required. As for foreigners, you must have a trust or temporary residency in Mexico.
Q: Is there a minimum age requirement for purchasing?
A: Yes, to purchase land & sign any legal documentation, you must be at least 18 years old.
Q: What documents are required for the purchase?
A: You will need to provide a government-issued ID, proof of residency, & further personal information.
